Services
Every job starts with a walk-through and a written estimate. Interior work is where Doug spends most of his time, so that's where the list starts.
Patching, sanding, priming, and two finish coats. Ceilings cut in cleanly against the wall color, and drips are not part of the deal.
Caulked, filled, sanded smooth, and brushed or sprayed for a finish that looks like it came from the factory.
Kitchen and bathroom cabinets degreased, deglossed, primed, and finished in a durable enamel — doors and drawers done off-site or on a rack.
Wood, fiber cement, and trim: washed, scraped, spot-primed, and painted in the right window of Wisconsin weather.
Cleaning, brightening, and stain or solid-color coatings that hold up through freeze and thaw.
Block walls, floors, utility rooms, and small offices or storefronts — the practical jobs most painters would rather skip.
Don't see your job listed? Ask anyway. If it takes a brush or a roller, Doug will look at it.

About Doug
Doug Wallace has been painting homes for [number] years. He grew up in [hometown] and got into the trade [how — e.g. working summers for a family friend's painting crew, or after leaving another line of work]. Today he runs a [solo / two-person / small] operation out of Madison, which means the person who quotes your job is the same person who shows up to do it.
Most of his work is interior: walls, ceilings, trim, and cabinets in older Madison houses and newer ones alike. He likes the careful part of the job — the prep, the cut lines, the second coat that most people would skip — and he'd rather take one extra day than leave a wall that isn't right.
Doug is usually booking about [lead time — e.g. two to three weeks] out. He is [certifications or insurance he actually holds — e.g. EPA Lead-Safe certified; insured — or delete this sentence].
